Chapter Overview

Finally, the lesson covers the Roman Empire, tracing its expansion, governance system, and the famous Golden Age of Rome. It details the daily lives of Roman citizens, their architectural achievements, and the eventual rise and spread of Christianity in Rome, transitioning from a persecuted sect to the state religion. By studying these civilizations, students will understand how these ancient systems of administration, philosophy, and law shaped modern global institutions.
