Chapter Overview
Hazrat Asma (RA) is the fourth chapter of Class 9 English. It details the exemplary life and contributions of Hazrat Asma (RA), the daughter of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (RA). She played an indispensable role during the Migration (Hijrah) of the Holy Prophet (SAW) and her father from Makkah to Madinah.
Her courage and presence of mind were tested when pagan leaders like Abu Jahl came seeking information, but she steadfastly refused to reveal anything. Her wisdom also comforted her grandfather Hazrat Abu Quhafa who was blind and feared that Hazrat Abu Bakr (RA) had left no money for the family.
Hazrat Asma (RA) lived a life of self-discipline, patience, and absolute trust in Allah. She was extremely generous, to the extent that she sold a garden she inherited and gave all the money away to the needy.
