Chapter Overview
Surah Al-Qasas is the eleventh chapter in the Class 9 Tarjama Tul Quran curriculum. The name of the Surah means "The Stories", referring to the detailed narratives of prophets, particularly Prophet Musa (AS), that are detailed in the Surah. It is a Makki Surah that describes the birth of Prophet Musa (AS), his upbringing in the house of Pharaoh, his migration to Madyan, his marriage, and his eventual return to Egypt as a messenger of Allah.
Additionally, the Surah narrates the story of Qarun (Korah), highlighting how his arrogance and greed led to his ultimate downfall. It teaches students that wealth and power are tests from Allah, and humility and righteousness are the keys to successful life.
